HomeFront looks for families in crisis. Then, we marshal community resources, like police, child services, shelters, treatment agencies and the justice system, to intervene proactively and positively with abusers and victims.

This is important work in Alberta, because Alberta has one of the highest rates of domestic violence in Canada.

But, we know that rates of domestic violence can be reduced. Our intervention works, both short and long term. Victims are safer, offenders are held accountable, and families are given their best chance at a future free of domestic violence. We know that our program cuts re-offence rates, often by half.

Over the last 10 years, Homefront has changed the lives of more than 25,000 victims and their children.

Together, we can achieve a society free of domestic violence. A society where everyone has the opportunity to realize their full potential.
