Congratulations to HomeFront’s Board Member and former Co-Chair Lauretta Enders, recipient of the 2020 Doc Seaman Individual Philanthropist Award! The AFP Calgary Generosity of Spirit Awards recognize and celebrate the philanthropic leaders that make a difference in our community.

Lauretta exemplifies the essence of philanthropy, contributing her time, talent, and treasure to a number of organizations in the Calgary area with the main goal of empowering families and building awareness. She gives her all to the causes she is passionate about, and has a keen ability to inspire those around her to make our community a better place.

Since joining the HomeFront Board of Directors in 2012, Lauretta has gone above and beyond to support our organization. She works hard to engage the community in important dialogue surrounding domestic violence and is always willing to speak on HomeFront’s behalf to our partners, funders, and collaborating organizations. Lauretta has spearheaded many unique and creative fundraising initiatives and awareness campaigns, such as Fashion Forward and the Checker Yellow Cabs My HomeFront Campaign.

Recently, Lauretta took her expertise in property management to provide a seminar alongside one of our HomeFront Team Leaders to educate landlords on domestic violence. This provided practical information to landlords, property managers, and on-site workers to help reduce the incidence and severity of domestic violence on their premises.

HomeFront is so grateful for Lauretta’s expertise, dedication, and generosity, and we are honoured to congratulate her on this well-deserved award!
